Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Services (MITS), and by the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brazil), the fifth edition of the catalog of Investment Opportunities in Brazil presents high level systematized information about projects with opportunities for foreign and domestic investors.

The guide’s current version presents 149 projects on state and federal level. The projects’ total amount is about U$ 47 billion, involving economic sectors like electric power generation and transmission, roadways, railways, ports and airports, telecommunications, urban mobility, construction and tourism, among others.

To the executive secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC), Fernando Furlan, the initiative supports the cycle of renewed economic growth. “Brazil wants to show that is so competitive in sports as it is in business. The Olympic Games are a great opportunity to show the world the investment opportunities in the country”, said Furlan during the lunch of the catalog.

Brazil has consolidated in recent years its position as an attractive partner for investments with high degree of economic diversification. The country is now the eighth biggest destination of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the world. In addition to a vast internal market, it is also a gateway to other countries in Latin America and has attracted investments in R&D centers, renewable energy projects, among others.

The guide of opportunities will be distributed in Brazilian embassies abroad and can be accessed at this link.
