On the 15th of February 2017, INCOBRA consortium partners IASP organised an infosession about INCOBRA within the framework of ‘Transfiere - European Forum of Science Technology and Innovation’. Transfiere was held in Malaga, Spain and was opened by His Royal Highness King Felipe VI of Spain.

Over the course of the two days, the innovation forum welcomed over 4,000 professionals from the various technology and innovations sectors, representing 21 countries, in a series of one-to-one meetings, specialised sessions and enjoying an exhibition area where over 50 companies and projects were highlighted.

The INCOBRA infosession provided details about the project overall, as well as combining information about the European Union cooperation with Brazil in R&I and the main cooperation priorities. The session heard from Carolina Rodríguez, SC6 and SWAFS National Contact Point; Sara Medina from consortium leaders Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação (SPI); and Magnos Martinello (Federal University of Espírito Santo) representing the EU-BR project Futebol and sharing their experiences of bilateral cooperation. This was all tied together with an emphasis on the importance of RRI (Responsible Research and Innovation), an approach that aims to involve society in science and innovation in the processes of R&I to align its outcomes with the values of society.

During the event IASP held a number of very productive one-to-one meetings with organisations interested in finding out more about potential collaboration opportunities between the two regions, and shared news, updates and information about the INCOBRA project from the dedicated exhibition stand.
