INCOBRA - Increasing International Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation between Brazil and the European Union

INCOBRA launched a call for financial support for attending the INCOBRA Brokerage Event, organized during the 16th Conference Anpei of Innovation from 31 October to 1 November in Belo Horizonte (MG). The event aims to create a space for networking between companies and innovation players from Brazil and the European Union (EU), focused on Advanced Manufacturing and Nano materials. Candidates should submit their proposals in English by 29th September.

 The objective is to assist participants with travel vouchers, aiming at establishing cooperation links between innovative actors from Europe and Brazil. On the other hand, beneficiaries must attend the cooperation scenarios presentation, run a minimum of five meetings during the Brokerage Event, attend the Horizon 2020 plenary session, and complete an activity and financial report for travel costs reimbursement.

The call will include a total of 20 beneficiaries: 10 Brazilians and 10 Europeans. Brazilian participants can get reimbursed up to 400 euros each, and Europeans can get reimbursed up to 1400 euros each, both covering only travel and accommodation expenses. INCOBRA will provide participants with a form to detail all expenses.

Among the requirements to participate, proponents need to have experience in science, technology and innovation (STI) international partnerships. The target audience is the companies and actors that work directly with STI and are involved in development of high-impact innovation products and services in the crosscutting sectors of Advanced Manufacturing and Nano materials. Applicants should also demonstrate high interest and motivation in establishing bilateral cooperation projects between Brazil and the EU.

The Brokerage Event approach will consist in the model normally applied in business networking and matchmaking activities, aimed at integrating companies to stimulate them in formalizing international cooperation agreements. In addition, the event will provide a virtual platform dedicated to the promotion of companies and innovation actors interested in scheduling face-to-face meetings.

Within the theme "Living Innovation in a World in Transformation", the 16^th edition of the Anpei Innovation Conference, promoted by the National Association of Research and Development of Innovative Companies (Anpei), will discuss new paths for innovation in a fast and constant world in transformation towards its known relations and business models.
