INCOBRA - Increasing International Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation between Brazil and the European Union

The Brazilian edition of the INCOBRA brokerage event will take place in Belo Horizonte, capital of the state of Minas Gerais and it will be organized in the framework of the 16^th ANPEI Innovation Conference under the theme “Living Innovation in an Evolving World”, Expominas, 31/10 to 01/11, 2017.

The Conference attracts every year more than 1400 Brazilian participants from 15 different cities and capitals of the country, offering a privileged forum for connecting representatives of companies, government agencies and STI organizations. The target audience is companies, startups, researchers, government agencies, development institutions, consultants, investors and other professionals working with technology and innovation.

In the 2017 edition, the event will cover the theme “Living Innovation in a World in Transformation” which means that changes are more and more dynamic, turning crucial the attention to these movements and to new knowledge. Every activity, speech, success case and the event's content shall be guided by three pillars: people connected and empowered, transforming technologies, and conscious business.

Among the objectives of the Conference, three of them are especially synergic to the Brokerage event, as it follows: bringing international experiences about the latest innovation cases, opening up future possibilities in a scenario of constant change; encourage networking and establishing business and partnerships between participants and organizations; and fostering dialogues to improve Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) policies.

INCOBRA and the European Programme Horizon 2020 will be featured in the Conference programme : the objective is to launch the new H2020 Work Programme and present EU-BR cooperation opportunities and initiatives for innovation players.

On Wednesday 1^st November, the Cooperation Scenarios of Advanced Manufacturing and Nano materials will be presented in a series of parallel session (20 minutes each) to be held in a space of networking for all the Anpei Conference audience – amongst policy makers, companies and STI organizations.

Also on that day the Brazilian edition of INCOBRA Brokerage Event will take place in a session of 2 hours. We expect more than 30 innovative organizations active in the Advanced Manufacturing and Nano materials to attend the B2B meeting organized in 2 slots of time of 1 hour (3 rounds of 20 minutes each).

INCOBRA will also have a dedicated space in the exhibition area, where to provide info and clarifications about EU-BR STI cooperation opportunities and about the project itself, as well as visibility to all the Conference participants.
