The Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), along with the French Committee of Evaluation from the University Cooperation with Brazil (Cofecub), will select up to 30 proposals that stimulate the exchange between Brazilian and French institutes and / or centers of public research and development. The objective of the call is to boost the knowledge exchange and the training of high-level professionals in the two countries. Interested parties have until May 23 to submit projects.
In order to participate in the bid, the applicant must be born Brazilian or naturalized, or foreigner with permanent visa in Brazil, with a doctorate for at least five years, with recognized competence in the sector and availability for academic and administrative activities related to the project. The project coordinator must have an employment relationship with an institution of higher education and accreditation in a postgraduate program with a doctorate course recommended and recognized by Capes. The Brazilian team of the project should be composed of at least four PhD professors, including the coordinator.
The Brazilian proposal must be prepared in Portuguese. The French company will follow the guidelines stipulated by Cofecub. They should be similar in each of the countries, containing joint action plan and the programming of training of human resources in both. The project should provide for the mobility of teachers and students of both teams, demonstrating an emphasis on strengthening postgraduate training and interaction of teachers linked to the work team. It is also necessary to involve at least one higher education institution from each country.
Call resources will cover labor missions, consumables and third-party services in the limit of up to R$ 140,000 over a period of up to four years. The payment of funds will occur in four annual installments of R$ 35 thousand.
