INCOBRA - Increasing International Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation between Brazil and the European Union

INCOBRA brokerage events have been designed to attract and engage in this EU-BR R&I dialogue the private sector, and particularly the SMEs active in the priority areas identified so far.

INCOBRA brokerage events aim at creating a “market place” for European and Brazilian R&I actors to meet, exchange and explore new cooperation opportunities in one of the priority areas emerged from the BR-EU policy dialogue. In one word: networking.

The first INCOBRA brokerage event will be organised in Europe during the EBN Annual Congress 2017 “Open Ecosystems for Innovation”, taking place in Enghien-Les-Bains (France) from 5^th to 7^th July 2017.

The EBN Congress 2017 will open its doors to a selection of 50+ companies from Europe and beyond, particularly during day 2 when a Open Startup Exhibiton programme will take place. This programme will run from 10.00 am until 6.00pm and it is made of 3 main components

1. Exhibition area (all day)
2. B2B / B2I meetings (morning)
3. INCOBRA info-session on EU-BR STI cooperation opportunities, "EU-Brazil cooperation: make it happen!" (2.00-3.00pm)

Meetings will be pre-arranged by using the congress app.

INCOBRA Brokerage Event (and the whole Open Startup Exhibition) will involve European and Brazilian companies interested in exploring potential cooperation opportunities in the following sector (and sub sectors):

• Internet of Things

• Smart Cities
• Health and Wellness
• Heritage

Moreover, companies will get the unique opportunity to attend the whole conference, by networking with 300+ delegates representing incubators, tech-parks, corporates, networks, universities, policy makers, listening to inspiring talks, learning about EU funded opportunities and innovation trends.

INCOBRA will support interested SMEs from both EU and Brazil (20 in total) by providing limited travel vouchers, enabling their participation to the conference, supporting matchmaking and networking between EU and Brazilian companies with the aim of:

• Scouting and building stronger and long term partnerships between European and Brazilian R&I players on priority areas of the EU-Brazil bilateral policy dialogue on Science, Technology and Innovation (ST&I).
• Promoting the EU-Brazil cooperation opportunities for R&I players and relevant funding mechanisms.
• Providing visibility to high potential growth companies from Europe and Brazil, interested in going international.
