The first workshop and work meeting of NANO-NOCMAT network took place in Pirassununga, Brazil, at the USP Pirassununga on 10th-12th of September

NANO-NOCMAT is one of the five networks selected by INCOBRA to receive funding to conduct bilateral research and is composed by a number of relevant institutions, some of them are University of Sao Paulo, University of Copenhagen, Universidad de Extremadura, INFIBRA S.A., INCDTP, Politehnica University of Bucharest, etc.
During 10th and 11th of September some short training courses were given by partners of NANO-NOCMAT network. The main themes: Biomimetics, new techniques for the characterization of fiber-cement, nanocellulose-based composites, circular economy and sustainability in the leather and footwear sector, etc.
On the third day (12th of September) took place the work meeting. INCOBRA partner UNICAMP attended physically the meeting. Luciana Lenhar presented how the financial grant is working at Brazilian agencies.
Other INCOBRA partners, EBN and CSIC, attended the meeting via teleconferece, Chiara Davalli presented INCOBRA project and Laura Rivero presented Horizon 2020 programmes & how to write a successful proposal.
The work meeting that was especially important to refine the network’s objectives and future activities, and to initiate the preparation of a very relevant research H2020 proposal, that will be submitted next year.
